Five Star Reviews From REAL Members

Not only are the people great, but so are the programs they offer. I can only speak to the Lil Dragon’s program and their Kids Summer Camp at this point, but my son has gained not only important martial arts skills, but priceless life lessons about self-esteem, patience, confidence, control over their body and mind, leadership, friendship and family values.

My son is currently a Brown Belt in the Lil Dragon program and he can’t wait until he gets his Dragon Belt and then advances to the Kids Program.

Love this place and love the instructors. We have one boy in “Little Dragons Kids Karate” and one in “Hapkido Kidz.” I go to Adult Kickboxing which is the best workout i get because it incorporates agility, strength, and cardio.

Everyone is upbeat and it helps me get into the workouts. I like the combination of upper and lower body. Along with changes in my diet i’ve lost 30 pounds so far this year. Can’t say enough good things. Thank you!

My 6 year old son loves his Hapkido classes. He goes twice a week, and can’t wait to get there. The instructors know all the kids’ names and monitor their progress, making sure to involve everybody right from the first (trial) class. The kids learn about being focused, being respectful, behaving responsibly – on top of practicing the “moves”.

I was impressed with how diverse the groups are, with high girl/boy ratio, and with how well the program is thought out. Hapkido is not just about the martial arts, kids are encouraged to demonstrate responsibility, kindness, respect, and strive for progress.

We signed up our elder daughter (age 6) for a one-week summer camp, and she loved it so much she asked to sign up for regular classes. This from a girl who is typically into princesses, ballet dancing, and arts and crafts. Naturally because she wanted to do it, her little sister (age 4) also wanted to join classes too.

They both have been going to classes twice a week now for 4 months and they are as excited and motivated to go now as when they first started attending. The instructor team does a great job remembering all their names (which is no easy feat), fostering confidence, and providing motivation, especially through the stripe and belt advancement.

Both my 5.5 year old son and I are members of Toronto Hapkido Academy. He is in the L’il Dragons Kids Karate program, and I signed up for kickboxing after seeing the great atmosphere in the dojo.

First of all, it is a great activity for kids. They not only learn and enjoy a physical activity, but also learn important skills as self-discipline, focus, respect, trust, perseverance and how to deal with bullying. The approach taken by Master Dayo, Miss Tess and staff is exceptionally well received by the kids. I yet to meet a single parent who is not truly amazed with the experience.
